COSCON and Evergreen to Launch a New China/Panama/USEC Service

COSCO Container Lines Company Limited (COSCON) is to team up with Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) to launch a new all water Transpacific service linking China with US East Coast via Panama Canal (CUE) in mid-March.

The joint partners are designed to deploy nine 2700TEU vessels (4 from COSCO, 5 from Evergreen), offering fixed-day weekly service. The port rotation will be Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Colon (Panama), Savannah, Miami, Colon (Panama) and Shanghai.

The new trade aims to enhance services in Central America and the East Coast of the United States and is expected to help the two parties further develop their businesses in Central and Southern America as well.
