Established on October 28, 1993, Xiamen Ocean Shipping Company ("COSCO Xiamen")is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company. COSCO Xiamen currently owns 15 vessels of various types, including bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels, and LPG carriers, with a total load capacity at 300,000 DWT.

The company provides shipping services through chartering and space booking, with an emphasis on international dry bulk cargo and general cargo transportation. Typical cargoes handled include grains, ore, coal, chemical fertilizer, steel, lumber and sugar.

In compliance with international shipping development, COSCO Xiamen manages its fleet in strict accordance with international regulations. The company is among the first shipping companies to obtain both the ISO9001 and ISM certificates.
