On February 18, 2006, Capt. On February 8, 2006, COSCO was honorably crowned with the title of 'Self-Motivated Study Excellence Award'. On Dec 28, 2005, the prize awarding ceremony for 2005 CCTV Person of the Year of China's Economy was grandly held in Beijing Hotel, Capt. Wei Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO Group, together with 9 other candidates was honorably awarded the prize.

As a recognition of Capt. Wei Jiafu's outstanding contributions to China-Belgium business and trade developments, the King of Belgium, His Majesty Albert II, has decided to offer a decoration titled Commander in the Order of Leopold II to Capt. Wei, Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO Group. The Commander in the Order of Leopold II was initiated by the Belgian royalty from 1908. It is one of the highest honors that the Belgian royal family presents to distinguished Belgians and overseas personages.

On November 3rd, 'Asian Logistics Awards 2005' awarding ceremony was grandly held in Shanghai. COSCON, one of key arms of COSCO Group, is honorably crown as 'Shipping Line of the Year 2005' by Lloyd's List. The award demonstrates the affirmation and appreciation of 'COSCO' brand name in global shipping industry, and also reflects COSCON's competitive status as one of the top-notch in the international shipping arenas.

On October 7, 2005, the Annual Conference of the International Propeller Club was grandly held in Boston, US. During the conference, Capt. On December 8, 2004, COSCO Container Lines (COSCON), one of the core arms of COSCO Group, ranked first among all competitors and repeatedly received 'Qualification & Credibility Award' (Class AA+ Level) from Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) in honor of its excellent international liner service over the past year.

On November 21, 2004, the public poll of the first China's logistics Top 100 was revealed in Beijing. COSCO Logistics, which is called to be the "China Logistics Tycoon" by Chinese mainstream media, ranks first among all participants. COSCO wins the crown of "China Logistics 100". The coronation of COSCO Logistics indicates the fact that COSCO has taken the leading position in China's logistics industry.

On November 4, 2004, COSCO was honorably crowned in Bangkok, Thailand by BusinessWeek and Hewlett-Packard (HP) with the "Adaptive Enterprise Awards" of the year in Asia Pacific regions. Sponsored and organized by BusinessWeek Custom Programs and jointly supported by HP, the ceremony aims to identify those who have made innovative business achievements in IT industry over the past year.

On March 9, 2004, the Port Authority of Long Beach held a grand ceremony for the presentation of Port Pilot Award, the Port's highest honor, to Capt. Wei Jiafu, President & CEO of COSCO Group,. The award aims to recognize Capt. Wei's contributions to the growth of international trade and the maritime industry.

On December 4, 2003, Capt. Wei Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO Group, attended the awarding ceremony jointly hosted by Lloyd's List and Maritime Asia in Shanghai and won the Hall of Fame Award of this year. The Hall of Fame Award was jointly established by Lloyd's List and Maritime Asia to honor leading members in the international maritime community who have made great contributions to this industry. The winner is selected by professionals in shipping circle through multi-rounds votes and the award is issued on an annual basis.

On September 24, 2003, COSCO successfully picked up the title of "Sailing Schedule Reliability Award on Australia-East Asia Trade" offered by Lloyd's List DCN. It is the eighth consecutive year that COSCO was awarded the honor, indicating the fact that the quality services focusing on punctuality, safety and reliability offered by COSCO have been publicly recognized among customers in Australia.

On November 6, 2001, COSCO was awarded three certificates by a third party----DNV, CCS and the State Occupation Health & Safety Assessment Center in honor of its excellent performance in management. COSCO therefore became the first company in China who had got three management system certificates at the same time. It is also believed to the first company nationwide who created a unified management policy via consolidation in line with the principles of Quality Management System, Environmental Management System and Safety Management System.

On June 11, 2001, COSCO (Hong Kong) Group Ltd. won the 2002 quality management award from Hong Kong Management Association and became the first Mainland-funded company and shipping enterprise winning the honor in 10 years since its establishment, which represented that the management mode with COSCO characteristics has got the recognition of internationally-approved rules.

On May 5, 2000, the London-based 'Lloyd's Loading List' magazine held the 7th Regular Liner Transportation Award Ceremony of 1999, COSCO group won 3 sailing schedule reliability awards, they were on U.K-Southeast Asia trade, U.K-China Mainland/Hong Kong/Taiwan trade and U.K-Atlantic of South America and American Gulf trade.
