COSCO Group has established its quality principles as “Safe, Fast, Quality and Efficient”, COSCO’s principle has been set as “Accurate decision, scientific management, quality service, building harmonious enterprise, implementing comprehensive risk management and Global Compact, realizing harmony and sustainable development between enterprise value and human environment and natural resource”.

Policies and regulations:

COSCO Group has introduced into the ISO9000 Quality Management Standard to establish its quality management system. Major second-tier companies of the group have introduced into the ISO9000 Quality Management Standard.

Organizational liabilities:

The Strategic Development Department is responsible for quality management of COSCO Group. The Supervision Department is responsible for audit and supervision. Responsibilities of the department were stipulated in the work standards and were listed in the evaluation contents of employees.

Training:

Each year COSCO organizes obliged training for executives of quality management system to update their knowledge. To improve the level of quality management, the group has conducted training Six Sigma management technology and implemented procedure rebuilding to improve clients’ response speed.

Supervision:

COSCO organizes second-tier companies to carry out second-part evaluation and assessment and to supervise the corporation’s quality management system. COSCO also organizes internal auditing, procedure auditing and risk auditing for each companies, and at the same time conducts supervision to urge them to make improvement.

External supervision:

COSCO’s quality management system has passed the joint certification of Det Norske Veritas and China Classification Society. With the establishment of the Global Compact and the sustainable development management system, the quality management system has been improved.
