Ocean salvage, undertaking liability of international humanitarianism.
COSCO staff's concept of "in the same boat" doesn't refer to the partner-like passionate assistance in a same boat, but the passionate assistance to ships on the ocean with internationalism spirit. For example, on the Indian Ocean COSCO's Ruaha Vessel has saved Zahara Vessel that was in serious overloading with 1,200 passengers and 285 tons of freight. Ruaha carried out humanitarian salvage at any cost and successfully saved the vessel in highly tough and dangerous situation. Vessels from all the world undergoing sea perils regard COSCO as the salvage messenger. In addition, the crews of Hengrong Vessel sent by COSCO Manning Cooperation have successfully saved Indonesian crewmembers from danger. In May 2003, with highly skillful techniques, 18 broad-mined and brave crewmembers of Hengrong Vessel have successfully saved five Indonesian crews in peril at Malacca, composing a carol showing the humanitarianism spirit of Chinese crews.
