COSCO Group not only pays attention to its social liability in China, but also attached great importance to the economic development of business located countries and local employment.

For instance, COSCO's oversea dock investment project has created employment opportunities and driven regional economic prosperity, which has been welcomed by local government and port administration sector. To commend COSCO's investment in the Antwerp Dock, the King of Belgium has paid a special visit to Hong Kong to offer honorable award to Capt. Wei, Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO Group. While visiting many countries of Europe, Asia and Latin America, Captain Wei has met with national officials who hoped to expand their cooperation with COSCO and welcome COSCO's oversea investment. So gar COSCO's oversea dock investment projects have made active contributions to drive the local society's economic development, productivity improvement, employment increase, etc.
