COSCO owns the strict admission procedure and promotion system for seaman employment, prohibiting the employment of child labors and under-age labors. For migrant workers, COSCO defines the responsibility and the obligation when signing related contracts in a bid to restrict the outsourcing companies and labor service companies to which migrant workers belong. Once they were found using child labors and under-age labors, CSOCO will fine them according to the contract and report to the local labor authorities. For ocean ships in foreign countries, if it was suspected of using child labors and under-age labors for ship-related operations, the responsible persons of ships will make effective verification on behalf of the company. If it is confirmed that child labors and under-age labors are hired, the ships will make grave representations and proper disposal. |
