All companies of COSCO establish the òleading group and work group for establishing conservation-oriented society and implementing global compactó, and some companies have upgraded the òleading group and work group for establishing conservation-oriented society and implementing global compactó to the òsustainable development committeeó and set up the routine administration departments to include the implementation of the global compact and the sustainable development work into the

routine administration function. Employees from different departments form a propelling team to organize and participate into the global compact work and push forward the sustainable development. The employees of the whole group engaged in the global compact and the sustainable development are increasing year on year. In 2006, a total of 173 employees from COSCO and the first-batch companies implementing the global compact were especially responsible for implementing the global compact.
