In view that over 15 subsidiaries of COSCO implemented the global compact in 2006, the batch-based construction is adopted in order to save time and cost, preparing series guiding files and technical files for management systems and sustainable development report implementation in a bid to build a effective long-term mechanism thus ensuring the regulated progressing of the sustainable development report.

Training and workshop program
COSCO's head office will organize and implement the centralized training, separate implementation, consulting for key points, uniform auditing and collectively report compiling.
● First training and workshop: Construction requirements of global compact and GRI standards for the management system, COSCO's organizational structure and mechanism, management system and indicator system framework for the overall deployment and implementation of the global compact, arrange the tasks and the requirements for the first state; establish and improve the company's organizational structure and mechanism; companies set up their own sustainable development management system.
● Second training and workshop: Requirements and explanation of indicators of global compact and GRI standards, COSCO's specific design and requirements for the global compact's indicator system; practice of COSCO Container Lines for collecting global compact indicators, arrange the tasks and the requirements for the second stage: decide the company's indicator system; develop relevant program files and divide labors for indicator collection and organization methods.
● Third training and workshop: Calculation of technical indicators, introduction to COSCO's sustainable development indicator system, application and implantation of COSCO's sustainable development indicator system, arrange the tasks and the requirements for the third stage: install COSCO's sustainable development indicator system and collect indicators.

● Hold press release for the report and communication with relevant parties with focus on international and domestic media.
● Submit the sustainable development report to UN. |
