| Currently, the docks of COSCO Shipyard have a total capacity of 1.3 millions tons, with 1 dock as 300,000 tons of capacity, 3 docks for 1.5-2 millions of tons of capacity and 5 docks for 40,000-80,000 tons of capacity as well as 22 berths (including leased ones). The facility occupies an area for approximate 3M square meters. The company annually repairs over 600 various vessels for more than 140 world-renowned shipping companies in over 50 countries including US, British, Norway, Denmark and Japan The company makes great endeavors to develop the ocean engineering and the ship building fields. As of 2006, COSCO had gained orders of ocean engineering and ship-building valued RMB20 billion. Based on professional services and modernized management, COSCO Shipyard has become a preferred partner of the world-renowned shipping companies and ocean oil service suppliers in China's costal areas. |
