The vessel fleet of COSCO Container Lines owns and operates 139 vessels with a total deadweight tonnage of 399,237 TEU, calls at more than 120 ports in over 40 countries and regions. COSCO Container Lines runs 74 international shipping routes, 12 international branch lines, 17 domestic coastal shipping routes and 52 branch lines in Yangtze River and Pearl River Delta Region. COSCO Container Lines owns and operates widespread sales and service networks in China. As of Dec. 31, 2006, COSCO Container Lines owns and operates 306 domestic 72 overseas sales and service outlets, while managing and using 89 overseas sales and service outlets. China COSCO operates the terminal business via the subsidiary COSCO Pacific. As of Dec. 31, 2006, COSCO Pacific operated 23 terminal projects in the world with a total of 119 berths and annual throughput of 32,791,713 TEU, ranking No.5 in the world. China COSCO runs the container leasing business via Florence, a subsidiary of COSCO Pacific. As of Dec. 31, 2006, Florence owned and operated the container fleets of 1,250,609TEU, and its container leasing business occupied about 11.9% share in the global market, ranking the world's No.3. In addition, the company is engaged in the container manufacturing business via the CMIC, a company in which COSCO Pacific has stakes. CMIC is currently the world's largest container manufacturing company with over 50% market share. The company provides comprehensive logistics services including third-party logistics, ship agency and cargo freight through its controlled subsidiary COSCO Logistics (China COSCO directly holds a 51% stake in COSCO Logistics and indirectly holds the remaining 49% via COSCO Pacific.). COSCO Logistics has established more than 400 business branches in 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas regions. |
